Area individuals, businesses, and groups are invited to Walk Hampton Clean and help the environment on April 21-28, anytime between sunrise and sunset.
Designed to coincide with Earth Day, which is April 22, and organized by Hampton’s Clean City Commission, Walk Hampton Clean is a week-long community celebration that encourages walking throughout the city to pick up litter and debris.
The group that registers the most miles will be announced on Monday, April 30 and will win a special prize pack.
Equipment for the cleanup, including litter sticks, gloves, and trash bags, can be requested when registering, but must be reserved by April 18 and picked up from the Clean City offices by 4 p.m. Friday, April 20. To register and sign up for equipment go online. For more information, contact Christine Ausink at causink@hampton.gov, or call 757-727-1158.
